Charlotte and Mitchell at Hodsock Priory

Charlotte and Mitchell’s wedding at Hodsock Priory was a night to remember! As their DJ, I arrived at 6 PM to set up my equipment and prepare for the big event. The reception began at 7 PM with a playlist that Charlotte and Mitchell had curated to perfectly capture the mood of the evening. Their only request was for no party dance songs such as the Macarena or Cha Cha Slide, which was easy to accommodate, as their playlist covered a range of music genres.

At 7:30 PM, the couple’s first dance as husband and wife began. The Temptations’ “My Girl” was a beautiful choice that reflected the love between Charlotte and Mitchell.

As the night wore on, the party-goers enjoyed more dancing and celebration. But at midnight, it was time to end the event. The last song was the classic Christmas tune “Fairy Tale of New York” by The Pogues.

However, there were a few special moments to note. In honor of both of their mothers who had passed away, Charlotte and Mitchell selected two songs as a tribute. Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” and Franki Valli and the Four Season’s “Oh What a Night” were played to remember these important women and celebrate their lives.

Overall, it was an incredible night of music and joy. As their DJ, I was honored to be a part of Charlotte and Mitchell’s wedding celebration and create a soundtrack to remember.
